We use the collected information exclusively to:
- Generate AI-powered Safety Scores for calendar event locations

- Comply with legal obligations and security requirements
Threat View's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3Data We Do NOT Collect
We do NOT access or store meeting content, attendee lists, conversation data, files, or any personal communications — regardless of which platform you use.
Threat View only processes location and timing information necessary to provide safety assessments. We operate on a minimal data collection principle across all integrations.
4Data Storage & Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+
- Access tokens and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256
- Data is stored in secure, SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments are conducted
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only
5Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services:
- Calendar event data: Retained for 90 days for historical safety reports
- Safety assessments: Retained for 90 days
- Organization records: Retained while subscription is active
- Google OAuth tokens: Retained while your account is connected; deleted upon revocation
- Audit logs: Retained for 1 year for compliance purposes
Upon termination of service, revocation of access, or at your request, we will delete your data within 30 days.
6Third-Party Services
To provide safety assessments, we integrate with the following third-party data sources:
- Crime data APIs (publicly available statistics)
- Weather service providers
- Traffic data services
- News aggregation services
- Geocoding and mapping services
We do not share your personal or organizational data with these services. Only anonymized location queries are transmitted.

8Consent & Authorization
Microsoft Teams
When a Global Administrator grants consent on behalf of your organization, they authorize Threat View to access calendar location data for all users within the tenant. Organizations are responsible for informing their users about this data processing.
Google Calendar
When you connect your Google account, you individually authorize Threat View to access your Google Calendar events, email address, and basic profile information. You can revoke this access at any time through your Google Account settings.
9Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify affected users and organizations of significant changes via email. Continued use of Threat View after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
